Severus Alexander AE 27, Emperor AD 222-235, Moesia Inferior, Marcianopolis, Obverse: laureate and draped bust of Severus Alexander facing right, Reverse: Homonia standing half-left, holding a patera in her right hand and cradling a cornucopia in her left arm, a very lovely and impressive coin with attractive chocolate brown/green patina throughout, a very nice portrait of Alexander and a detailed Homonia on the reverse, full/nearly full legends on both sides. Graded Nice VF by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased it. I know enough of the Greek alphabet to see the emperor’s name transliterated in Greek and the name of the city on the reverse. This is a beautiful coin with a lot of detail. Asking price: $79
