Julian II AE 3, Emperor AD 360-363, struck at Heraclea AD 361-363, RIC 106, 19.5 x 20.5 mm, 2.8 gms, Obverse: pearl-diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Julian II facing left, holding a spear and a shield, DN FL CL IVLIANVS PF AVG, Reverse: Wreath within which is inscribed VOT X MVLT XX, HERACL dot B in exergue, a lovely coin with attractive dark brown patina, great obverse detail with a wonderful portrait of Julian, detailed wreath and inscription on the reverse and a full and clear obverse legend, noted is a very small patina scuff on Julian’s shield, graded EF for the obverse and VF+ for the reverse by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased the coin, Asking price: $66 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (see shipping information page)

Julian II AE 3, Emperor AD 360-363, struck at Sirmium, AD 361-363, RIC 108, Obverse: diademed, helmeted, and cuirassed bust of Julian II facing left, holding a spear in his right hand and a shield in his left, DN FL CL IVLIANVS P F AVG, Reverse: Wreath in which is inscribed VOT X MVLT XX, ASIRM in exergue, an attractive coin with light chocolate brown patina, a great portrait of Julian, detailed reverse, full and clear inscriptions on both sides, a coin with a “nice bold strike” in the words of the well known numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased it. The green areas scattered here and there are stable and have been for the eight years I’ve had this coin. A lovely example, especially that portrait.
