Trebonianus Gallus Antoninianus
Trebonianus Gallus Antoninianus, Emperor AD 251-253, minted at Antioch, Van Meter 22 but with obverse legend 5, Obverse: radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus facing right, IMP C C VIB TREB GALLVS PF AVG, Reverse: Mars facing left, holding a branch in his upraised right hand and cradling a spear in his left arm, MARTI PACIFERO, very lustrous coin (more than my photography shows) with light and attractive toning, an absolutely superb (in my opinion!) sharp and finely bearded portrait of Gallus in high relief, very detailed Mars on the reverse with full and clear legend, a slightly off center strike on the obverse makes part of the legend off the flan but is nevertheless full, a beautiful coin with an exceptional portrait, much sharper in hand as I found this coin, especially the reverse, difficult to fully capture, Asking price: $147 includes priority shipping and insurance

Trebonianus Gallus AE Provincial
AD 251-253, minted at Troas during those dates, Van Aulock 1480v, 20.02 mm, 5.5 gms, Obverse: laureate bust of Trebonianus Gallus facing right, Reverse: a horse grazing right, the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased this coin and who grades it EF/EF states of it: “An incredible portrait of Gallus, nice green patina.” Indeed a superb portrait with a detailed reverse, a very attractive deep green patina throughout the coin, Asking price: $165 includes priority shipping and insurance
