Trebonianus Gallus Antoninianus, Emperor AD 251-253, minted at Rome, RIC 33, RSC 37, 21.5 mm, 3.94 gms, Obverse:  radiate and draped bust of Trebonianus Gallus facing right, IMP CAE C VIB TREB GALLVS AVG, Reverse:  Felicitas standing half-left, holding a long caduceus in her right hand and cradling a cornucopia in her left arm, FELICITAS PVBLICA, a very lustrous coin very well struck and centered with a nothing less than a truly superb and sharp portrait of Gallus in high relief, a detailed and sharp Felicitas on the reverse, and full and clear legends on both sides of the coin.  This is a true gem of this issue for Gallus, just gorgeous.  I’m itching to grade it despite my own rule not to give a grade unless the dealer from whom I purchased the coin grades it.  This coin is very scarce to rare for Gallus, and especially so when in this nice a condition.  Again, a superlative portrait of Gallus, enhanced by a very regal and elegant flare of his nostril.  My photography does not do full justice to this coin.  Asking price:  $465 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)

Seleucis & Pieria, Antioch, AE 30, SNG Copenhagen 292, BMC 654, 19.86 gms, Obverse:  Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Trebonianus Gallus facing right, Reverse: Tyche seated within a hexastyle temple, river god Orontes below her, a ram leaping right above the temple, SC in exergue, a beautiful coin with lovely light chocolate brown patina, an absolutely superb and sharp portrait of Gallus, a sharp and very detailed reverse with all its motifs and devices, full and clear legends on both sides, a very well centered and struck coin graded Mint State by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased it, an exceptional example of this issue of Gallus’s, very difficult in my opinion to find one better, a gorgeous coin with a razor sharp portrait with every hair of head and face in place and a pin sharp reverse, Asking price: $850 includes priority shipping and insurance
