Trajan Decius Antoninianus

Trajan Decius Antoninianus, Emperor AD 249-251, minted at Rome, RIC 10b, RSC 2, 3.76 gms, Obverse:  radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Trajan Decius facing right, IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, Reverse:  Abundantia standing half-right, pouring out the contents of a cornucopia, ABVNDANTIA AVG, graded Extremely Fine by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased it, a very lustrous and bright coin with a fantastic portrait of Decius, detailed Abundantia on the reverse and full and clear legends on both sides of the coin.  I’ve stopped mentioning that a portrait on an Imperial denarius or antoninianus is high relief because it almost invariably is, often to an incredible degree.  I find the reverses are also often in high relief, and the reverse on this coin is really something.  A beautiful coin, well struck and centered, Asking price:  $235 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (see shipping information page)
