Maximinus I Denarius, Emperor AD 235-238, minted at Rome, RIC 12, RSC 31a, Van Meter 5,  Obverse:  laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, Reverse:  Pax standing left, holding a branch aloft with her right hand and cradling a long scepter in her left arm, PAX AVGVSTI, very lustrous coin, high relief and superb portrait of Maximinus, sharp Pax on the reverse, full and sharp legends on both sides of the coin, a well centered and struck coin, a beauty.  The apparent ”marks” in front of Maximinus’s face on the shots with the light from behind his bust are some sort of photo feature and not present in hand or in the photos with the light from the right.  Asking price:  $345 includes priority shipping and insurance within the United States, registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)

Maximinus Denarius, Emperor AD 235-238, RIC 13; RSC 77;  Obverse: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Maximinus facing right, IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, Reverse: Providentia standing left, holding a wand pointing to a globe at her feet in her right hand, and holding a cornucopia in her left arm, PROVIDENTIA AVG, very lustrous coin, a superb winner of a portrait in very high relief of Maximinus, very detailed reverse, full and sharp legends on both sides of the coin, nothing short of an incredible coin with pin sharp detail on the portrait and for Providentia, a blue ribbon coin that is well struck and centered!  Asking price: $320 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (see shipping information page)

Maximinus Denarius, Emperor AD 235-238, RIC 13; RSC 77;  2.8 gms, Obverse: laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Maximinus facing right, IMP MAXIMINVS PIVS AVG, Reverse: Providentia standing left, holding a cornucopia and pointing downward with a wand toward a globe at her feet, PROVIDENTIA AVG, very lustrous coin with a tiny touch of attractive toning, incredible portrait of Maximinus, very detailed and in high relief, detailed reverse, full and clear legends on both sides of the coin, a well centered and struck coin with the exception of the TI on the reverse just a tiny, tiny bit softly struck, a beautiful coin indeed, and in my opinion what a portrait!  Graded EF by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased it.  Asking price: $235 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered out of the U.S. (please see shipping information page)
