Herennius Etruscus Antoninianus, Emperor AD 251, struck as Caesar at Rome AD 250-251, RIC 143, RSC 14, 22 mm, 4.3 gms, Obverse: radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse: sacrificial implements, PIETAS AVGVSTORVM, very lustrous coin, fantastic portrait of the caesar, detailed reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, a gorgeous coin indeed, well struck and centered, the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased the coin remarks of it: “Brilliant, sharp, and lustrous. While the reverse demonstrates normal die wear, the obverse is of an incredible fine style.
