Herennius Etruscus Antoninianus, Caesar AD 250-251, Emperor AD 251, struck as Caesar at Rome, RIC 138, RSC 4, 23.56 mm, 3.4 gms, Obverse:  radiate and draped bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse:  Clasped hands, CONCORDIA AVGG, a lustrous coin with very attractive even gray toning, a great portrait of Herennius Etruscus, detailed hands on the reverse, and full and clear legends on both sides with the exception of GG in AVGG on the reverse not fully struck up, a very nice coin indeed and a scarcer issue, Asking price:  $120 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)

AD 251, struck at Rome AD 250-251, RIC-IV-3-143-S; RSC 14; Van Meter 10, 22.4 mm, 4.16 gms, Obverse: radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse: priestly implements: sprinkler, simpulum, jug, and lituus, PIETAS AVGVSTORVM, very lustrous coin, more than my photography captures, superb, chiseled and very high relief portrait of the young emperor, very detailed reverse devices in very high relief, graded Extremely Fine by the numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased the coin, and who remarks of it: “Exceptional example of this scarce to rare coinage. While the reverse demonstrates normal die wear, the obverse is of an incredible fine style. AD 250-251, struck in Rome, RIC IV 138; Van Meter 3, Obverse: radiate and draped bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse: clasped hands, CONCORDIA AVGG, very lustrous coin, more than my photography shows, its brightness making photography difficult to do the coin full justice, superb, detailed, sharp, and high relief portrait of the caesar, very detailed clasped hands on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides of the coin (obverse legend long and tight, and luster interfering in photos), very well centered and struck on a large flan, very scarce coin from my researches, a gorgeous coin, especially in hand, and much nicer by far than most I’ve seen, Asking price: $450 includes priority shipping and insurance

No. 1588, Van Meter 10, Obverse: radiate and draped bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse: priestly implements, PIETAS AVGVSTORVM, very lustrous coin (making photography difficult for me, coin is much more lustrous than my photography shows), a high relief and very sharp and chiseled portrait (just superb), very clear and sharp implements on reverse, reverse legend softly struck at two o’clock as shown, a gorgeous and pin sharp coin, especially in hand, Asking price: $335 includes priority shipping and insurance

AD 251, minted at Rome, RIC IV 147c, Sear 2743, Obverse: radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Herennius Etruscus facing right, Q HER ETR MES DECIVS NOB C, Reverse: the Caesar facing left, holding baton and transverse spear, PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS, very lustrous coin, wonderful and clear high relief portrait, clear and detailed Herennius on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, a well centered coin on a large flan with the obverse especially superb and well struck, the caesar on the reverse just a tiny bit softly struck and noted really as only a technical observation, a lovely coin and a scarce issue for Herennius Etruscus, Asking price: $370 includes priority shipping and insurance
