Philip I Antoninianus, Emperor AD 244-249, minted at Rome, RIC 36b, RSC 80, Obverse:  radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Philip I facing right, IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, Reverse:  Laetitia standing left, holding a wreath in her right hand and steadying a rudder with her left, LAETIT FVNDAT, a very lustrous coin well centered and struck, a superb stern faced and wonderfully-nosed portrait of Philip, a detailed Laetitia on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, for accuracy’s sake a few small spots of verdigris are noted on the reverse, which to me are no detraction from a very lovely coin, Asking price:  $120 includes priority shipping and insurance in the U.S., registered to other countries (see shipping information page)
