Caracalla Antoninianus

Caracalla Antoninianus, Emperor AD 198-217, struck at Rome AD 216, RIC 280d, RSC 349b, Obverse:  radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Caracalla facing right, ANTONINVS PIVS AVG GERM, Reverse:  Serapis standing facing, his head turned left, raising his right hand and holding a long scepter in his left, PM TR P XVIIII COS IIII PP, very lustrous coin, just a superb portrait of Caracalla, detailed Serapis on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, a beautiful coin well struck and centered, encapsulated by ICG, who grades it EF.  As is readily seen, this coin is mislabeled as a denarius, but I consider this an oversight (of course!) and not a error in expertise.  The numismatist/dealer from whom I purchased the coin grades it EF also.  Asking price:  $560 includes priority shipping and insurance, registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)
