Julia Domna Denarius, wife of Septimius Severus (Emperor AD 193-211), minted at Rome, RIC 577, RSC 174,  3.02 gms, Obverse:  draped bust of Julia Domna facing right, her hair elaborately woven, IVLIA AVGVSTA, Reverse:  Isis standing right wearing a peaked head-dress (polos), her foot resting on a prow, and holding her baby son Horus on her knee, who is nursing at her breast, behind her is a rudder resting against an altar, SAECVLI FELICITAS, very lustrous coin, an absolutely and no less than superb and sharp portrait of the empress, detailed Isis and Horus and devices on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, just a jewel of a coin with incredible and sharp detail, a well struck and centered coin that is rated at least scarce, and Julia’s portrait is just gorgeous and makes her into quite the fox on this coin, from my researches an exceptional example of this issue for Julia Domna, Asking price:  $375 includes priority shipping and insurance, registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)000_5109000_5104000_5115000_5103

Gordian III Antoninianus, Emperor AD 238-244, RIC 144, RSC 98, Obverse:  radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust of Gordian III facing right, IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, Reverse:  Fortuna seated left, holding a rudder in her right hand and cradling a cornucopia in her left arm, a wheel below her, FORTVNA REDVX, very lustrous coin with just the tiniest touch of attractive toning, a bold, sharp, and very expressionistic portrait of Gordian, detailed Fortuna and her devices on the reverse, full and clear legends on both sides, a well struck and centered coin that has just a tiny, tiny bit of wear at the highest points, a beautiful coin, just lovely, and that portrait of Gordian is just superb, Asking price:  $138 includes priority shipping and insurance, registered to other countries (please see shipping information page)
